What are all the ingredients in the Concentrated Mouthwash?
Auraglow’s Concentrated Mouthwash contains the following ingredients:
- Water – The main base of the mouthwash. It dissolves and carries the other ingredients throughout the formula.
- PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil – A solubilizer that helps ingredients such as peppermint oil mix evenly into the water-based formula rather than separating.
- Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil – Provides the peppermint flavor and fresh-mouth sensation. It also has antimicrobial properties that can contribute to overall oral freshness.
- Sodium Chlorite – An antimicrobial/oxidizing ingredient that helps reduce compounds associated with bad breath (halitosis). It can also help neutralize odor-causing compounds.
- Sodium Benzoate – A preservative that helps prevent the growth of bacteria, yeast, and mold in the mouthwash, extending its shelf life.
- Sodium Bicarbonate – Baking soda. It helps buffer acidity and can contribute to cleansing and odor control by helping neutralize acids and unpleasant odors.
- Disodium EDTA – A chelating/stabilizing agent. It binds certain metal ions that could otherwise destabilize the formula or reduce its shelf life.
- Zinc Chloride – Helps control bad breath by binding/neutralizing sulfur-containing compounds responsible for unpleasant odors. Zinc can also contribute to a cleaner, fresher feeling in the mouth.
