Rechargeable Whitening Light will not fully charge (no green light after 24 hours)
If your rechargeable light slowly flashes while charging but does not display the green indicator light after 24 hours of charging, the charging process may have been interrupted, or there may be an issue with the charging components. Try the following solutions in order:
Solution 1: Confirm the USB charging source is active
Unplug the charger from the USB source (brick, etc) and plug a different USB device (phone charger) into it to confirm that it is providing power.
Solution 2: Ensure the light is positioned correctly on the charger
Confirm that the light’s mouth tray is facing towards the length of the charger’s cable (see photo below). The light may not charge if it is facing in the wrong direction.
Solution 3: Examine the light’s charging contacts
Slight corrosion can form on the light’s charging contacts over time due to moisture, making it unable to draw power from the charger.
Examine the two metal dots on the bottom of the light and look for any brownish corrosion.
If it appears some has formed, use a nail file or the tip of a sharp knife to scrape it off until you see shiny metal again.
Solution 4: Attempt a full 24 hour charge
Charge the light as directed for a full 24 hours.
After 24 hours are over, determine if the green light is being displayed, then remove the light from the charger and attempt to turn it on.
